Dr. Goldberg was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. After graduating from dental school and serving as a Lieutenant in the South African Defense Force, Dr. Goldberg began practicing dentistry, first in South Africa and then in his chosen home of La Jolla, California.
Dr. Goldberg is proud to be a part of both the La Jolla and San Diego communities, serving many of his original patients and their children and grandchildren. His strong relationships with leading dentists and physicians throughout San Diego County allow him to carefully tailor treatment plans that align with each patient’s unique needs and goals. Additionally, he finds immense joy in working alongside his son, Dr. Jarrod Goldberg, which allows Goldberg Dental Group to continue providing both new and veteran patients with exceptional personalized care.

“There are incredible technological advances happening in dentistry every year. It’s important to me that my patients have access to the best technologies in dental health and beauty. I frequently attend continuing education courses, with a focus on those related to cosmetic and implant dentistry to ensure that I am up-to-date on all aspects of the field.”
In addition to his San Diego Dentistry family, Dr. Goldberg and his wife, Myrice, have four children of their own – Justine, Jarrod, Lara, and Nicole. He spends his spare time at the beach, at the gym, and training his shelties.

A San Diego native, Dr. Jarrod Goldberg grew up around Goldberg Dentistry Group, where his father taught him the importance of the human element behind the art of dentistry. He loves designing smiles and believes that a smile should be harmonious with his patients’ whole face.
Dr. Jarrod truly enjoys allDr. Jarrod truly enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, but is especially interested in digital dentistry and 3D printing, particularly related to implant and cosmetic dentistry. He continues to refine his clinical techniques for honest, ethical and restorative dentistry by engaging in study clubs and learning with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In addition to his work at Goldberg Dentistry Group, Dr. Jarrod is a volunteer clinical professor with the UCSD School of Medicine and works with UCSD Free Clinic Project to provide free high quality health care to underserved communities in San Diego.

Passionate about helping those less fortunate, Dr. Jarrod joins dental and medical brigades to provide dental care to communities with no access to medical care. Dr. Jarrod has traveled to various parts of Mexico, Israel, Indonesia, and the Philippines to provide dental relief and care.
Dr. Jarrod loves adventure, travel, and photographing his excursions, where he enjoys connecting with people and learning about the world around him.
